Esta intervención arquitectónica ubicada en el Parque Mirador Independencia de Guadalajara, junto al Museo de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo diseñado por Herzog & De Meuron, consiste en un mirador y cafetería al final de la avenida principal que ofrece un espacio para contemplar la barranca de Huentitán. La intervención se integra discretamente al relieve natural del paisaje, aprovechando la topografía. El techo de la cafetería es al mismo tiempo el mirador, sostenido en sólo dos puntos por una estructura de armadura, ofrece al visitante la ilusión de sobrevolar el vacío.
This architectonic contribution in Mirador Independencia Park in Guadalajara, next to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art designed by Herzog & De Meuron consists of a viewpoint with vistas of the gorge of Huentitan and a cafeteria at the end of the main avenue. This project discretely integrates into the natural relief of the landscape, taking advantage of the topography. The roof of the cafeteria doubles as the viewpoint, supported by only two points of a framework, which gives the visitor the illusion of hovering over the empty void.
