Embassy and the Residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The designed building of the Embassy and the Residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia combines the features of the historical Wilanow with the culture of the Arab countries. This situation was an opportunity to design an classical building resembling a palace, based on an axis plan combined with a French garden. The surrounding architecture suggests to use simple solids and rythm in the elevation. The simple block combines Polish and Arab traditional ornaments. The whole concept is based on a symmetrical of 4 squares grid referring to the geometrical pattern of Arabic mosaics and arabesques. Each field has a specific function: the Embassy, the Residence and the Ambassador’s Garden.
That's why there are three solids on a square plan. Two of them from the main street be-long to the Embassy and one belongs to the Residence. The composition is completed with the squared garden. The buildings are connected with passages integrated with greenery.

The Embassy Building:
It consists of two three-storey cuboids connected with a glass passage which is the main hall facing to the small garden. The facade of the passage has shape of a great stone por-tico decorated with a low relief depicting Arab motifs. The front of the facade is covered with greenery that is an important characteristic of Wilanow architecture. The windows are narrow and have a special rhythm. They are the “porte-fenetre” type with a railing made from arabesque design bars.
Front windows are covered by automatically controlled white onyx panels. A two-storey reception hall is situated in the main passage.
The Residence Building:
Three-storey cuboid is separated from the Embassy with a stone wall overgrown with greenery. The halls are lighted by skylight on the roof. The rest of the roof is covered with greenery.
A representative are is situated on the first floor and the private on the higher storeys.
