Conversion of ancient industrial building (Macosa) in collaborative work space.
Is reused the envelope of an ancient industrial building, the only
remains of a facility before the Civil Spanish War, with two air-raid
shelters, which the project aims to highlight.
The new building colonize the space with free forms that contrast
with the pre-existence. Part of the old building is used for the
exhibition of industrial machinery and locomotives that were manufactured
in the same place. A conference room is located on
the inside too. The archives of the former factory is located in the
northern part of the old building.
A ramp limit building to the east and visually connects with
another old factory nearby, allowing an architectural walk inside
the old building.
In the new block workshops are located on the ground floor and
workspaces first level and bottom covers. The shape of the covers,
with shed, refers to the old building and the industrial character
that had this urban area.
New releases of anti-aircraft shelters, previous at the building,
organize the public space and allow them to be visited.
