Located between an industrial activity area and remarkable landscape context near the Gulf of Morbihan, the project is organized according to a principle of parallel stripes alternating 3 buildings and open perspectives towards the existing wooded environment. A large canopy structures the site in its depth and while placed between the two buildings which echo between them through the apparent rough concrete substructure, the expressiveness of the wooden constructions and generous overhangs.
The first hosts the administrative and social rooms, the second, welcomes the maintenance workshops. The use of the wood aims to obtain a warm atmosphere and gives the waste collection service a positive image. A not-heated buffer space in a “T” form distributes two sides of the main entrance hall leading towards the administrative locals and the changing rooms through a south facing glazed gallery.
