Camposaz 2:2 Transacqua - Salvanel
Camposaz is a workshop that takes place in the Valle di Primiero (TN) – Italy, in an area of great landscape value at the feet of the Dolomites. The aim of the workshop is to design and self-build wooden architectural objects for landscape enhancement.
During the Camposaz workshop the participants are required to ideate and assemble wood constructions, following the thematic suggestions provided by the organizers and developing eco-friendly, practical and sustainable design projects. Camposaz is an initiative stemming from the collaboration between the Municipality of Transacqua (TN) and the cultural associations "Aguaz":http://aguaz.it and "Campomarzio":http://www.campomarzio.name/progetti-associazione.html. This project has been realized in a small circular square, at the entrance of the village of Transacqua. The area, previously unutilized by local people, is characterized by a good sunlight exposure and is facing a mixed urban-natural context. Two independent wooden elements have been built on the square, dividing the space into two semi-protected areas. The first structure is opened towards the sun, whereas the second one is opened towards the landscape of the Dolomites. From the road it is possible to perceive some of the elements of the structures. The vantage points are multiplied: the new square is conceived to generate surprising spatial experiences.
