THYSSENKRUPP HEADQUARTER
The project of the Thyssen-Krupp Headquarter‟s park in Essen interacts with the selected architectonical design of the Headquarter, by JSWD Architects and Chaix & Morel, and inserts the area within the 230ha Krupp belt. With the construction of the new Headquarter for 2000 employees in Essen, Thyssen-Krupp returns to its historic seat.
The landscape design idea is to create a sort of open and public campus that includes, at the same time, areas dedicated to the Thyssen- Krupp‟s employees.
The central element is the water axis with the tree-lined boulevard, composed by trees coming from all over the world.
A “business-ways” system of paths directly connects the focal points of the park. A green “passepartout” with cluster of trees and low hills contains the interested area.
