This social building located in Mexico City, has 27 apartments near approximately 56 sqm each.
The projects main feature is the way light is taken inside the apartments, which really helps to amplify interior spaces.
The main goal was giving natural lighting and ventilation to all rooms of each apartment. To do this, the public (living room, dining room and kitchen) and private (bedrooms, studio and bathroom) areas were splited, with 2 large patios. Thus the bedrooms face the street and the living areas face the patios.
The facades design had to comply with the rules of the INAH, INBA, and SEDUVI for brand-new buildings (since the building is located in Mexico City-s historical Center). In spite of the former, a great effort was made to give the building a contemporary image to distinguish it from the social housing cliches.#socialhousing
