The aim of the proposed project is to solve the complex urban situation of the block/plot object of the competition, by creating the effect of a threshold that will value the plot and will define, with the Nestlé headquarters, the western entrance to the city.
The complexity of the situation lies in the overlapping of two not minor problems.
The first one is the character of an 'edge' in comparison to the city centre; the plot is out of the radius of principal activity and with its back to the city. The second one is the 'hinge' character of the block/plot which gives origin to two streets that lead to neuralgic points of the city; the train station and the lake.
