The volume of glass and polished steel seizes the environment and the surrounding “climate”. It reacts constantly to light, sky reflections, and the atmosphere of the Arve River, while allows the interior world to filter out. The structure is the sign to a collective working environment, always moving with the connections apparent behind the large windows at a city scale. There are no sedimentation of the floors and small windows, but rather a mobile and active texture, almost like pixels, denotes an activity of communication, flows, and networking. There is equally no “citadel” image, but rather large openings towards the landscape, big windows that showcase the journalistic activities opened to the contemporary world. Presently, the tower is a rectangular volume vertically covered, representing a hierarchic emblem that is slightly cold and relatively opaque. The project proposes to not only act on its façade, but also its form, in order to change this emblem into an admired symbol… a) Open the form… passing from an “i” volume to a “z” volume, or from a solitary form to a form that merges with the environment. b) Poetize the form… passing from abstract verticality to abstract pixelisation, transforming a volume without images to a volume of multiple images, from a mute to a whispering form.
