The “cassa armonica” turned out to be a substitute of opera- house: it reproduced its aesthetic codes thus materializing its miracle for a few days in the year in every town where there was no theatre.
The “cassa armonica” is the festival totem, an architectural structure of happiness and a poetic scene where the bands perform at their best.
Designing a new “cassa armonica” means dealing with a popular archetype: the model designed for the Festival of the Senses in 2010 is intended to be a novelty in connection to and in compliance with the codes of this fascinating travelling architecture. This structure was redesigned and improved according to new regulations and technical requirements. Its design is based on shapes and innovative lighting devices, also thanks to the characteristics of LED bulbs having a new different colour.
