A small studio space underneath an existing 1910 timber cottage in Red Hill, Australia. The new work is constituted by timber window joinery, walls and screens that infill between the concrete columns and walls supporting the cottage above.
The shopfront glazing and tiled walls that front the street are reminiscent of traditional shopfronts.
An open-air meeting space is enclosed with timber and brass screens.
