When I had to think about how to
design a restaurant that offers local products
I thought about an “Osteria”.
But instead of illustrating the Italian local culture starting from the rural tradition,
I preferred to describe it from the 1950s,
when the local culture became the television culture.
So I decided to cover the walls of this place with all the famous people photos,
quotes, lifestyle, pictures and icons that I found rediscovering this half-century of television history and beyond.
And then I realized that looking at a picture of Modugno singing “Volare” with his arms opened or at a Mike Bongiorno's one greeting everyone saying "Allegria"
Eating a parma ham tigella
with a glass of Lambrusco wine.....
It makes me feel a proper Italian.
And I think that also Michelangelo and Dante would have approved it!
Do you know how I called this place?
