MEDIATHEQUE CINEMA MOUANS SARTOUX
The architectural and urban challenge of the extension of the La Strada Cinema is to allow the development of this equipment while preserving the qualities of programmatic mixing and functioning integrated into a larger cultural complex, including the Municipal Media Library, a room D Exhibition and the three existing cinemas.
To do this, the extension does not modify the existing access provided by the large sheltered open space common to the two entities: Cinema and Media Library. The two new rooms are located on the right of the terrace terrace of the existing large room. A protected outdoor staircase on the south façade connects the current hall on the ground floor with a gallery on the second floor. This glazed gallery overhanging the facade easily distributes the two new rooms and their amenities. The structures of the extension, staircase, gallery and "box" of the two rooms are metallic for the reasons of the supply on the existing one and the ease of implementation during the realization of the works, on and towards the side, Of equipment No current activities should not be disrupted.
