Feeding the nature

According to Foucault, heterotopia is a real place which stands outside of known space.
Heterotopias can function differently and in different situations. Heterotopias are able
to oppose, in the same place, different places. Heterotopias have a different link with
time, they can separate us from our usual perception of it. Heterotopias always mantain
a system of opening and closing which isolates and connects them from and to their
surroundings.
Barreiro’s strategic site is a platform of heterotopias.
The boat, the station, the train, the concept of travel itself, the cyrcus,
they coincidentally coexist in the same territory, at the same time.
Our will for Barreiro is to pander and improve the existing heterotopias,
and heterotopias need borders.
