Post Hierarchical
The current tendency implies a hierarchical order that doesn't consider composition and tectonics until the end of the development of a project.
The aim is to revert the normal sequence of the design process. Architectural choices will define a project based on pure spatial qualities rather than economic or programmatic organisation.
The project "post hierarchical" aims to scatter the modernist idea that the house is a machine for living, with a clear hierarchical order, which marks the elements of the space (serving / served spaces spaces).
For do it, we traced to the fundamental system of definition of domestic space: the wall.
The project taking the concept of "functional program" on an extreme level, to cancel it, homogenizing the individual functions into fragments and eliminating the hierarchy through the division of space into equal spaces, rational and anonymous. Therefore, the fundamental of "form follows function" is reversed and the space take the distance from a programmatic functionalism.
The biunivocal relationships of modernist space give way to an univocal relationship. There aren’t privileged entry or special rooms. The standardise environment lay the foundations for an informal use of the house, bringing back an ancient classicism.
