The new Porto Cruise Terminal was born in a 2004 Estratégic Plan of Portuary Development, it is a combination of projects and actions under a common architectural conception and coordination. It’s composed by a new Cruise wharf, a marina, the Cruise Terminal building and the city street connection. This complex was been built by phases, at moment, the new Cruise wharf and the Cruise Terminal main building are finishing. The more visible intervention part is the main building with 17500m2 of useful area, and it included the passengers station and the Science and Technology Park of the Sea of the University of Porto, among other functions of public enjoyment. Implanted next of curved pier sector, it provides a coming and going flows, from the Ships, from the marina and from the city, its becoming interacting inside the building. The curved blades, which distends and supporting those four vocations and interconnects on the unit form, serves to materialized this movements. Long glazed plans of light permeable contribute to the winding movement of the textured white skin.
