Disco raft Sloboda
Disco raft Sloboda is located at the delta of the Sava and the Danube rivers.
The lines of vertical steel bars,serving as bearers of the roof construction and numerous other purposes, are formed along the border of the raft.They are also the walls, fences,shelf carriers,etc.Arranged in different rhytms,they seem as though they do not have a defined sequence,while the regularities ensure that the construction stands and carries the above roof firmly.The laminated plywood boards are placed on the ceiling carried by steel beams.The pipe-shaped lamps that resemble starry sky when turned on in the evening are positioned on the boards.For enjoying bright summer nights,a mobile roof provides the opennes even on the fifth -roof side of the raft.
The cascade structure of the platforms is used for the storage,service rooms,as well as the toilets,so these are placed in the parts under the tallest platform.
In the evening hours one can see light which slides down the bars and across other surfaces,creating a play between the illuminated and dark parts of the cobweb facade.
