YAC - Light House Sea Hotel
The project give to the architecture the role of medium in order to produce a coherent meaning of intervention within the landscape area. Elements and typologies are few, forms descend from tradition and are deeply rooted in spatial archetypes.
The idea is to built around the lighthouse of Murro di Porco a place where it can be possible to produce and experience a re-thinking of the landscape meaning. Not just something to visit and "consume" but a place that, starting from the value of ecological and natural richness, can be contemplative, inspirative, restful.
It is a complex hotel, with several open buildings spread in the area: some host public functions (workshops, seminars, theater, exhibitions) others are dedicated to activities related with the reception and everyday life of guests.
The project aims to develop a complex system through the renovation of the existing buildings and the connections with new interventions. The Hotel is widespread in the project area, little shelters towards the sea and the rooms in the building for the guests. The basic idea is to create a place for reflection, work and research on the landscape, providing space for theater, workshops, art besides having the function of refuge for whome want to stay alone.
