Regional office block in Trieste. 1974 If we are prepared to recognize the decisive and direct influence that a particular social class had on architecture and the style of buildings at the turn of the century, we must also acknowledge that this dominant class succeeded in implementing its decisions by redefining certain regulatory tools that met their purpose perfectly, particularly building regulations, interpreted as a real set of architectural rules.
